- Diffuser gas lens collet bodies: These have a diffuser inside of them that helps to spread the shielding gas out more evenly.
The type of gas lens collet body that you use will depend on the application. For example, if you are welding in a high-humidity environment, you may want to use a diffuser gas lens collet body to help prevent moisture from getting to the tungsten electrode.
To replace a TIG gas lens collet body, you will need to remove the old collet body and tungsten electrode from the torch. Then, you can insert the new collet body and tungsten electrode into the torch and tighten them in place.
